The LifeFront apostolate of prayerful presence and sidewalk counseling at the local abortion center officially began on Saturday, May 5, 2007 (although we did not yet have a name) when Archbishop Naumann led the Rosary outside of the Planned Parenthood in Overland Park. Afterwards, at a meeting at Cure of Ars parish, the mission and goal of LifeFront was explained and an impassioned plea made for a commitment from Catholics to begin witnessing to the evil of abortion by their physical presence outside of local abortion centers.
A small band of committed young women and men were trained and began sidewalk counseling. Since then we have been present at the Overland Park Planned Parenthood every Saturday morning from 6:30 – 10:30 am. We have seen at least 50 babies saved when their mothers made the choice for life! With your help, we hope to see many more!
